Eva’s Irises

Designed to inspire joy, wonderment and a sense of play, Eva’s Irises embodies contemporary and traditional practices, combining 3D printed blooms dappled with hand-sewn fiber pollen, and cold steel greenery wrapped in brightly colored powder coating.   Hearkening to sentiments of childhood and family, the work is lovingly dedicated to the artist’s grandmother, who grew irises and roses in her garden.  The piece is a site specific installation created for the Children’s Museum of Denver, and is part of their permanent collection.
